About
About Dr. Susan Strand
I'm a psychiatrist passionate about helping patients through individualized, thoughtful treatment strategies that take the whole person into account.
I believe the most meaningful mental health care comes out of a patient-psychiatrist relationship that addresses both MIND and BODY.
In my practice, I combine a neuroscientific approach as it relates to your specific symptoms and personal circumstances to come up with an effective medication and therapy plan. I also incorporate integrative approaches to help create a more robust, holistic treatment experience.
I completed both B.A. in philosophy and B.S. in biochemistry, as well as my M.D. degree at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. I'm a board-certified psychiatrist who completed my psychiatry residency at Hennepin County Medical Center/Regions Hospital in the Twin Cities.
In my free-time I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids, going for walks, cooking, and especially travel!
